The Caldwell brothers are definitely a hard act to follow but MJ Fields and Chelsea Camaron have done one hell of a job with Angelo Mazzeni! That man is sexy as sin wrapped up in an intimidating, broody bad boy!! This is the fourth book in the Caldwell series but you don’t have to read the previous books to follow Tatum and Angelo’s story.
Tatum Longley is an author who is being pushed out of her comfort zone and into the world of writing romance. After seeing Kid she knows he is just what she needs to get her creative juices flowing along with some much needed intimacy. Only problem is Kid is adamant that he wants absolutely nothing to do with the alluring woman he first see’s in the coffee shop. That doesn’t put Tatum off and she sets out to show him if he gives in it will be worth his while.
Angelo Kid Mazzeni hasn’t had the easiest life, he’s still on parole after killing a man and has this rage inside himself he cant seem to curb. He knows nothing good can come from getting involved with Tatum but after witnessing her putting herself ion danger he can’t help but get involved. Although there were times Angelo p!ssed me off by being callous and cruel I still loved him. He had this personality that you couldn’t help but be drawn to even if he wanted everyone to believe he was a giant douche.
These two authors totally complement each others writing and I can never tell which author has written which scene. Their writing flows flawlessly and their stories are always so well thought out and developed. I am a big fan of these two authors separately but more so when they are writing together. I can’t wait to see what this terrific duo come up with next.
This book was everything I hoped for, the characters had me from the start and the story pulled me straight in and kept me devouring it as quickly as I could. I hated getting to the end of this couple’s story and just wanted more. I’m excited to get Buck’s story next!!
